LANCASTER, Pa. – The Vaccinate Lancaster Coalition today issued updated guidance for patients seeking their second-dose Pfizer BioNTech vaccine after the June 30 closure of the Lancaster County Community Vaccination Center.
The center, located at the former Bon-Ton department store in Park City Center in Lancaster, remains open Monday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Vaccinate Lancaster staff offer individuals the option of either the one-dose Johnson & Johnson “Janssen” vaccine for individuals 18 and older, or the two-dose Pfizer “BioNTech” vaccine for individuals 12 and older. It is recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that the second-dose Pfizer shot be administered between 21 and 42 days from the first dose.
To schedule a second-dose Pfizer appointment after the center closes on June 30, patients are asked to use one of the following options:
The Lancaster County Community Vaccination Center has administered more than 230,000 COVID-19 vaccines since opening on March 10.

The Lancaster County Community Vaccination Center is operated by the Vaccinate Lancaster Coalition, which includes the Lancaster County government, Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, Penn State Health, UPMC, WellSpan Health and the Lancaster City and County Medical Society.
