The Lancaster County Commissioners on Feb. 17 approved a final agreement with the Vaccinate Lancaster Coalition to develop a COVID-19 community vaccination center at the site of the former Bon-Ton Department Store at Park City Center in Lancaster.
The center is tentatively planned to open in early-to-mid March, contingent upon vaccine availability. It will be developed and managed by the Vaccinate Lancaster Coalition.
The center is tentatively planned for a pilot program of fewer than 1,000 vaccinations per day from March 8 through March 14, before shifting to normal operations with a goal of up to 6,000 vaccinations per day through June 30 – all dependent upon vaccine availability. Vaccine allocations are decided by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Registration and scheduling for the community vaccination center is not expected to be available until closer to the opening date. As plans move forward, updates will be provided at VaccinateLancaster.org.
